I have almost a decade of experience in the field of content management systems, mentoring designers, advocating for accessible products, and creating comprehensive design systems.
Currently, I am working on an innovative product: Kontent.ai, a headless CMS that challenges conventional content management by prioritizing flexibility and user experience.
In this role, I collaborate closely with Product Managers and developers, striving to enhance the product's UX. My contributions are informed by extensive research and a deep understanding of user needs.
My expertise extends beyond prototyping in design tools like Figma. I have facilitated numerous design workshops, engaging with designers, developers, and stakeholders to produce creative solutions. I have actively participated in several Design Sprints as well.
The last project I worked on was optimizing filters for smaller screens.
Roughly 10% of users come from the iPad alone and the experience has become too complex over the years.
See how I solved it:
I am responsible for our design system, which means not only creating and updating Figma components, but mainly creating guidelines for designers, coaching sessions, advocating for proper use, and tailoring the DS vision.
At Kontent.ai, we are committed to achieving WCAG AA compliance, a standard that ensures our products are accessible to all users. This means considering numerous factors such as contrast ratios, the size of clickable areas, and keyboard navigation. Our design system was built from the ground up with these principles in mind, starting with the fundamental elements of quarks, tokens, and atoms.
From the beginning, I have been overseeing this process, implementing significant enhancements to both our design system and the product. By identifying all accessibility issues, coaching fellow designers, and advocating design improvements, I've ensured our commitment to accessibility is not just theoretical but practical and ongoing.
I'm deeply passionate about this topic and could discuss it for hours, so if you're curious to learn more or have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. 🙂
